Music review by "Relax Renew Revive"

When I was given the opportunity to review some of the music available at RelaxationTunes.com, I didn’t hesitate to answer yes. Having previously listened to samples on the website, I knew I had the chance to explore music from a site that offered something that is not always easy to find – quality music for relaxation and massage therapy sessions.
I chose the title “Feng Shui”, a collection of music that I hoped would not only be conducive to the atmosphere for massage therapy, but would complement the type of massage I give. After using it in sessions over the last four weeks, I have also found it to be one of the few pieces of music that my clients actually comment on.
During massage sessions I have monitored the music played based on feedback from my clients to help set the mood and comfort level, whether through type of music or volume. I have been glad to discover that for the most part clients have a very discriminating taste in what they want playing while they receive work.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of this cd I have experienced, is that it is totally unobtrusive and never takes over the mood of the session, instead it helps create it. This has been one consistent point from clients as well, it’s there, but doesn’t become an abstraction, but more of a part of the journey they find themselves on.
Feng Shui has the same consistent ebb and flow throughout the compositions, never breaking breaking tempo or mood, only building on what it creates. The tonal quality is very tranquil, filled with high sweeping notes that are very uplifting. Some music seems to have built-in imagery and landscapes, Feng Shui allows you or the client to create your own and then simply stays along for the journey.
Feng Shui is simple in it’s composition and instrumentation, yet strong and enveloping with it’s soundscape. Whether for use in a massage session or something to simply relax and get lost inside of, this is one cd will not disappoint.

I was introduced to a new source of relaxation music around a week ago, and was fortunate to be able to listen to a few tracks from two of their albums. The album I want to focus on (or I should say, MP3 download), was of music I had not heard before, in what was for me, a new style.
I am certainly familiar with relaxation music, and often have different tracks playing in the background in my office, as I find it relaxing and pleasant. In addition, I have found I am often able to achieve more, by the right music being around me. It has been proven that music does affect the concentration, and performance of our brains, and certain beats can and do affect us, in many positive ways.
The website description is as follows: Hammam: "The ritual atmosphere of the hammam, the inscrutability of a sense of well-being and orientalstyle beauty… A massage with sweet almond oil imbued with the fragrance of rose water. The atmosphere conjured up by oriental music creates a sense of relaxation …"
I found the music was light, like drifting on a river, calm, still waters, and yet, refreshing. Whilst the music played, I was able to think freely, and let my mind wonder. I would highly recommend this music style for thought, when you need to work on creating ideas. I write a great deal, and this enabled me to have a lighter creativity, with more free flowing energy. I can highly recommend the first track for this, Jam-Khanoun. However, the remaining tracks will be a delight as well. As someone who writes, and researches articles on development, relaxation, and creativity, I highly recommend this music for your relaxation collection.
The website is Relaxation Tunes, and they have a large selection of music, for relaxation in various genres.
"Perfect Soundtrack for Massage Therapists" By Tiffany from Last Minute Massage .com

Relaxation tunes is a website that allows massage therapists to pick their perfect soundtrack for their massage therapy sessions. I was on our facebook page, when I found this amazing website and became a fan of them immediately. I tried to put myself in a massage therapist’s postition and frame of mind when I went shopping for what I think I would want for my clients during their massage. I wasn’t sure what to excpect when I went to the website and I was totally blown away when I got there. The music selections were endless!!! I had no idea where to start! The categories that are offered vary from Pure Nature, which include sounds from dolphins and whales to lightning and the calming sounds of sailing away to the harmonic tunes of a cozy lounge to zen spirit and spa. You can even get sounds from Africa, if that’s what makes your sun shine!
So, back to putting myself in a masssage therapists frame of mind…I decided to change that mind thought and go to what I would want to hear while I’m getting a massage. For me, there’s nothing more calming than the ocean and I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii, so, I chose and Escape to Hawaii for my listening pleasure…. and oooooh what a pleasure! Talk about wanting to leave my desk and hop on a plane right then and be jet set to the islands! The soothing sounds of the ocean waves breaking on the shore were as if I was truly right there. I could almost feel the sun on my face. A definite must have for any therapist of mine for my next massage. After I left Hawaii, as difficult as it was, I searched through some more options of Relaxation Tunes and saw Lightning. I live in Florida and love the sound of a thunderstorm headed out my way to the beach. Done. So, that was my next choice. At first, you can hear birds chirping and a soft rumble of thunder far away. Then it starts to sprinkle softly. The storm never gets too close or too loud, but it is just right for that nice little afternoon nap that we all want to take when that storm comes through. I think this would also be a nice addition to my next massage therapy session.
My third choice was under the harmony category. I figured I had picked two soundtracks under the nature category and I needed to venture out of my Hawaiian and stormy bubbles. I picked Cozy Lounge. It was just that. I loved this one! It was catchy, jammy and also relaxing. It consisted of a little guitar, a little saxophone and a lot of grooviness. I could completely picture myself in a dark lounge with a cocktail relaxing after a hard day’s work. Would I pick this type of music for a massage? Probably not, but I would abasolutely have it playing for a relaxing dinner date or for after that hard day at work to calm my nerves.
On this fabulous website, you can go a get a little taste of each soundtrack to listen to before you have to buy. It’s one of the many nice options they offer to make the site easier for you to use. The check out process was also incredibly simple and the confirmations were basic and to the point emails, letting you know what you purchased and how to download your purchases.
I love, love LOVE thiswebsite and the music they offer. If you’re a therapist, new or a veteran, I highly recommend buying some of this music for your clients. I recommend any of this music if you’re NOT a therapist, but for your own listening pleasure!
Thank you!
Tiffany
